A bathroom remodel lives or dies behind the tile. We use a real waterproofing system — Schluter, Kerdi, or hot-mopped pans, depending on the build — and we pressure-test every shower pan before anyone touches a trowel.

Why waterproofing matters

Most bathroom failures we get called to fix come from someone skipping a step behind the tile — a missing membrane, a corner not sealed, a curb not coated. We over-build this layer because re-tiling a shower because of a leak is a $15,000 mistake.
